Investor Update: Building Momentum with the ShredShox

Product Development Overview

Over the past five years, NLP has dedicated itself to creating a revolutionary full suspension ski platform. As of May 2024, we finalized the sixth generation of the ShredShox. Recently, our R&D team conducted two full days of testing at Tahoe Palisades, California, utilizing three skilled skiers. This testing phase allowed us to gather valuable video and still images for future marketing and branding efforts.

The feedback from our R&D skiers was overwhelmingly positive, prompting the NLP team to advance with final design adjustments and intensive testing for the upcoming 2024/2026 season. We have established a clear timeline to bring this groundbreaking product to market.

Branding and Market Positioning

From May to July 2024, NLP undertook a study to strategically position the ShredShox brand within the alpine skiing industry. It was critical to create a memorable brand that builds upon existing industry names for enhanced consumer recall. This effort resulted in the development of the ShredShox logo and identity, featuring a distinctive snowflake-inspired mark that reflects the product’s unique features.

In July, the ShredShox was launched publicly, garnering significant media coverage, including articles in the Vail Daily and various online platforms. This organic promotion led to widespread syndication, increased intrigue, and even international attention.

Growth and Engagement

Following our media campaign, we observed a substantial increase in website traffic and social media engagement. To further our research and development, ShredShox launched a search for candidates for a season-long R&D program. This initiative aimed to collect both qualitative and quantitative data from a diverse range of skiers. We received over 600 applications and selected 10 participants, including lifelong skiers, those with injuries, ex-racers, and instructors. This diverse cohort will provide a comprehensive view of the ShredShox's performance across various conditions.

Product Customization and Merchandise

We have developed multiple colorways for the ShredShox to allow consumers a level of customization that enhances personal appeal. Additionally, we have launched a line of soft goods and listed deposit inventory for the first 500 units of the ShredShox, successfully completing our first deposits without any promotion, demonstrating strong interest in our brand and product.

Strategic Partnerships

In September 2024, we established a partnership with SkyTechSport to integrate the ShredShox into their advanced skiing simulator, trusted by the US Ski and Snowboard team. This collaboration will allow us to conduct rigorous diagnostics in various conditions, providing valuable insights for consumers.

Observing the lack of shock-absorbing characteristics in skis, Ken envisioned a product that would enhance the skiing experience by reducing muscle and bone stress. JARROD KRISILOFF - PARTNER, HEAD OF BRAND

Jarrod Krisiloff is a seasoned sports and entertainment executive with a rich background in branding and marketing. A graduate of Ohio University with a Master's in Sports Administration, Jarrod has demonstrated versatility throughout his career, holding positions in operations, marketing, new media, business development, sponsor/client services, suite/hospitality management, and media production. His creative thinking and problem-solving skills have led to many award-winning and industry-recognized achievements in digital media, marketing, and event management.

Like Next Level Platforms co-founders Nick and Ken, Jarrod is a lifelong racer who grew up at the race track, earning national titles in BMX and Quarter Midget racing. Named to the IBJ’s 2014 class of Forty Under 40, Jarrod brings a unique blend of sports business acumen and passion for skiing to his role at NLP.

As the resident ski bum on the team, if Jarrod isn’t with his family or on a bike, he’s on the slopes. He leverages his expertise to lead the development of the SHREDSHOX brand, overseeing its identity, marketing strategies, and customer engagement. In addition to his role at NLP, Jarrod continues to serve as Principal of RAD Alpine, where he consults on branding, marketing, and equity opportunities.
